My marrows are flying and starting to flower 

But the leaves are massive and blocking a lot of sunlight out.
It doesnt help with 3 marrows being planted in a small space 

My question is, Can i cut some of the big leaves off ?

Um so the sun can get to the base bit where the marrows grow ? 

Or am i showing myself up here ?

Don't worry about the sun getting to the marrows.  It's the leaves that need the sun to manufacture the food for the marrows to grow.  The leaves are the factory part of the plant.
