As I posted before my husband found and chick out walking one day and to cut a long story short it has turned out to be a bantam leghorn rooster 
He started crowing a few weeks ago and has now got the hang of it, I quite like the crowing and it is not a problem, however, one of my bantams who is broody at the moment is the focus of his attention. When we let her out of the broody coop to stretch her legs he chases her holding her by the neck feathers, she looks terrified and he is relentless  He's not brave enough to tackle the other girls, they still chase him.
We are going on holiday on Saturday for two weeks and I'm hoping to have broken the broody hen by then but I am very concerned for her with the little rooster.
So do I need to be not so soft with my little broody hen or do I get my experienced neighbour to dispatch him or should I put him in a seperate coop on his own in the garden

he will grow out of it.  All young cockerels seem to be extremely violent with their girls at the beginning, and I imagine for inexperienced pullets it can by quite terrifying.

If you can I would separate them for now, but, as I said, he should settle down by the end of summer.
