hello, i have 3 hens all laying at the moment,
however when the first hen lays, one of the other hens follows her in and pecks at the egg until it is broken and then eats the yolk.
any ideas as how to solve this problem?

It is usually suggested that you should put a blown shell filled with mustard into the nest box and this puts them off!!

you can make or buy roll-away nest boxes - which stops any hen getting to the eggs

My dad has same problem but doesn't know which hen ... He borrowed my mustard said that is how they stopped them on the farms he worked on ... Waiting to see him find out how it has worked x
