The last batch of hatching eggs I bought via a local breeder which was about 30mins drive away. I did leave the eggs to settle for a day before putting them in the incubator but I thought after doing so, is it actually nessacary? I took them from the breeders farm, they sat on my lap all the way home in styrofoam eggs boxes.

So what do you guys think?

Thanks

I did the same with some I collected which were to be put under a broody.  I was told it was to do with temperature acclimatisation as well as the movement thing.

Yes, it is always better to let the eggs settle (pointy end down) to equilibrate and rest.  Even moving them in a car can shake them up a bit :)
