Toms......in or out?
« on: June 25, 2012, 12:06 »
Makes you wonder. I put a couple of gardeners delight outside last week. Now they are outstripping the greenhouse ones by some margin. Reckon they must have put some amphetamine sulphate in the feed!

Secondly, I've had a couple of toms in the GH acting a bit funny. Just the odd one or two leaves going very limp. They look almost dead, then suddenly come back to life, happy as Larry. They are definitely not lacking water or nutrients. Could it be overwatering? Two different varieties too, gardeners delight and san marzano.

The GH toms could be suffering more from heat fluctuations - a bit too hot during the day then fairly cool at night. You might want to check your daytime temps during the day in the GH so see what's happening there.
