I have a raised bed 4' wide and 12' long.  I have access to both ends but only one side, consequently it's a bit of a bother planting seeds, untill:

I found a bit of assymentrical angle ally (a bit of old greenhouse).  Cleared off most of the corrosion and used this to form a groove in the soil, I then set the angle ally on a flat surface and placed in there beetroot seeds spacing them out in comfort.

Carefully carrying the angle to the groove in the raised bed I carefully tipped the seeds in the pre-formed groove and sweeping the angle over I covered the seeds.

An idea for those a bit unsteady on their pins.

Good idea - but I'd just wobble the metal and all the seeds would fall out anyway!

on this theam im having a problem with my strawberries and  happen to have a redundent pair of bunkbed ladders in pine my idea is to get some planters and screw them to the step part then attach the whole thing to the side of my shed then im going to plant with strawberries you could do the same with flowers as well carnt wait to get it done its going to be my project now ive been allowed to use power tools
