hi ya all the leaves of me spuds seem to have been eaten or stripped by somthing, what could this be, they are not shriveld up like spuds with blight i dident think slugs liked spud leaves..........pete

Have a Google of Capsid Bug and see if it fits the bill.

hi ya  its just dorned on me that the 2 rows of spuds that have there foliage eaten are on the edge of my plot next to a very over grown plot, could bugs or whatever be coming out from the over grown plot?..........pete

Slugs LOVE potato foliage!! I'm growing in bags and found several plants stripped with tell-tale slime trails.
I did a slug hunt tonight and the plants were HEAVING with huge fat slugs which got scissored and I sprinkled some of the blue pellets for good measure.
I'll do another hunt late tomorrow night.
