I couldnt get to speedgate which is our local supplier today so stopped at pets at hoome only to find their feeders couldnt be suspended so my hunt is still on.

What feeder is the best, we have had plastic ones in the past which they tipped over constantly so i will look for a larger one but does it work best if it is hanging rather than on the floor?

I think you will find hanging the feeder better. They cannot tip it over and it stops them pooing in it! Also it keeps it a lot cleaner generally and out of the way of any vermin.

I use a plastic feeder that has legs, I sit that on top of bricks. My big clumsy Brahmas and Orpingtons don't knock it over so it must be stable enough.
