mi stutgarter giant look small planted them on the 6/4/2012 they are growing in mushroom compost is there sum thing not right

They could probably do with a nitrogen boost from something such as chicken manure pellets, which would help them build up a bit more leaf now

Summer onions won't start to fatten up bulbs until after mid June

No, they're a regular onion but all regular onions look like thin spring onions until mid-late summer when the bulb begins to develop.

Give them a bit of feed as suggested, and then just water / weed them for a couple of months at least  :D

They are edible at this stage, though, so no need to waste the ones you've already pulled up  :D
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
