using sand in seed compost

This year i used sand in with my seed compost, never again, when planting out plants, it all just crumbled, will next time just use good compost, no sand.

do you mean you added sand to seed compost or multi-purpose? - as seed compost wont need anything added to it!, and thinking about it, ive never added sand to multi-purpose and have always had good germination and strong plants!

Yes it was multi-purpose, just giving it a try now using strait multi-purpose compost.
