some of my recent sowings of toms have 3 seed leaves. Is it normal, or do they need throwing away?

It's unusual but I've never known it to be a problem when it's happened before  ;)

 (1) Put it down to inflation, or (2) Wait for one more and youv'e got a four leaved clover!

Cheers,    Tony.     P.S. I shouldn't worry about it. ::)

Whenever I re pot toms deep, they tend to die! I've re done some and haven't re potted deep, and they seem to be fine  :) For now  :unsure:.

I cannot remember ever killing a tomato plant without it being intentional , i treat `em rough water from the base but not too much and they really do want to live !
