Just about...
« on: April 12, 2012, 19:37 »
Am now on the floor of the conservatory with my veggies and flower seedling trays, as there is no room on the windowsill, the table, the back bedroom windowsill and the landing windowsill, everything coming up roses, but... was going to rotivate the allotment at the weekend, and my OH did his back in - grrrr, and oh, what a shame!!!  Was going to put the spuds in and the peas and onion sets and shallots.  Oh well, I may have to do it myself this weekend.  What is everyone else doing at the moment?

Slowly recovering after bringing two van loads of well rotted 'orse muck' from the farm and planting eleven varieties of spud (8 or 10 per row).

As me old Mam used to say "I'm  jiggered" !       Cheers,     Tony.
I may be growing OLD, but I refuse to grow UP !

Sorry to hear about OH's back! :( I'm sitting with a smug smirk on my face for an unrelated reason  but apart from that it is the plan to plant the potatoes this coming weekend. Various seedlings are coming up now and soon it will be time to start direct planting outside.

I'm sitting here knackered, drinking tea and eating cake. Something to do with four hours down the allotment digging out brick maker's clay round the edges and topping up with compost. Even the dandelions were less than a spade deep in one area. I've now got a pile of face down sods under the left over compost and am deciding what I can grow on this heap. A conundrum to go with tea and cake.
