PLEASE HELP!!!
« on: April 01, 2012, 13:50 »
I've had a really bad week my cat passed away this week  :( and as a mark of respect to her i would really appreciate some help.
We've decided to bury her in the garden much to the dismay of my 2 year old son but i have created a raised flower bed where she lies and i'm looking for some perennial flowers to stick there.

I am looking for flower cultivars the have the name Rosie in them now i know of only one and that was bred here in worcester (by a friend of the family) the hebe 'rosie' but i need more than that please, please, please can someone help me here
When i die i shall go to may. It will be green. Not environmentally correct green, for things will just be, without measurement or judgement, but actually the colour green in all its thousand shining faces.

Sorry to hear about your cat. Sad times when a pet passes away. Would planting some rosemary around her help? Even some nice roses as they will be there forever xx

I know just how you feel, our 21 year old moggy passed away some while ago,  He's now proping up the plum tree, (his favourite sunbathing spot).      Cheers,     Tony.
I may be growing OLD, but I refuse to grow UP !

So sorry to hear about your cat, Robbie  :(

We have four now in our garden with their special plantings: one with clematis and roses (roses = rosie?), one with ferns and one withe bluebells and one with a dwarf pussy willow.

There are some dianthus called Rosie Cheeks, if that helps

Depending on the size of your garden, you might consider the rambling rose Rosie - or any rose if you haven't got a huge garden.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Rose of Sharon? Perennial shrub with loads of of large-ish yellow single flowers with attractive mass of stamens in the middle. Flowers soon I think (May?) for a goodly length  of time and easy to care for.
Sorry about your moggy......

Sorry to hear about your cat. We lost our lovely girl last month and I miss her terribly. Her grave is covered in primroses around a rose bush. There is an Astilbe Rosie (Astilbe arendsii) which is a lovely pink colour.
