Garlic

It's right dry out there now and the question is to water, or not to water my garlic?   In Diggers Diary, there was a thing about not watering it, but as it's early, perhaps I should.  Help?

If garlic is over-watered then you end up with garlic that won't store well. Given how dry it is, it's unlikely you'll hit that problem.

That said, we've had very little rain here for two weeks and although the soil surface is dry as a bone, the root level around my onions and garlic is still lovely and moist. You might want to have a furtle around in the soil before deciding to water.
