hosepipe ban
« on: March 14, 2012, 09:48 »
Hi does anyone know how the hose pipe ban will affect people who keep ducks/chickens ?
We keep 3 laying ducks at home in the garden to supply our family with eggs. We have them in a hutch with a big run attached and a small pond made from a cut down plastic barrel. The run is moveable so that during the nice weather they can go onto the grass, but mostly they are on concrete. this makes it easy to keep clean as I hose it down and change their water every day, thus keeping smells, flies, and vermin at bay, but what happens when the hose pipe ban hits ? I heard people that own swimming pools and ponds with fish can still use their pipes. Sorry to be so long winded but need to know what everyone else thinks many thanks
