Interesting topic, I would like to try this & have done a quick search of Suttons & Dobies but neither seem to have the saffron bulbs.........any ideas where I might get some from.

I bought mine from a company in France (i think this is the company I bought them from http://www.saffronbulbs.com/ ) and I seem to remember them arriving early summer - they flowered the first year and we harvested enough for a few meals

The Suttons one I had already looked at but there is no way to order them, I contacted Suttons & they're not available till September.
The French ones seem a bit expensive & aren't available till August.

I will bear them both in mind in the Autumn.
