What is the meaning of "Cane" when referring to Fruit Bushes (eg Raspberry). Apologies for what is undoubtedly a daft question. It would be greatly appreciated if you could educate me a little on this terminology.

If you buy a fruit cane it means a bush/plant.

When you are pruning it means a stem that grows up from the soil level.
