I have a 4 year old lohmann brown who has become a bit stiff in the last couple of weeks.  She is usually the first one into the coop at night but the last few days she has been the last one in, she will stand at the side of the ramp as if she wants to go in but can't. I had to put her in last night and tonight she tried to jump up herself but missed and fell back off, when I lift her she makes noise like it's hurting her. Her movement is very stiff and she isn't as fast as she used to be. Can u give a chicken cod liver oil or is there something better?

could she have a fracture?  Is there a place on her legs that looks particularly red, swollen or tender?

You can also give her cod liver oil which is apparently known as 'liquid sunshine' for chickens according to last months Practical Poultry mag.
