finding ex batts
« on: January 06, 2012, 11:36 »
i really want some ex battery hens to re home, i already have 3 hens - not ex batts, but i have a spare coop, its not huge but would be ideal for some till they were ok to go in the large coop with my other hens. my other half would freek if i did get more but i dont care i no he secretly loves my birds but he likes to keep his manly image and trys to stamp a bit of authority haha waste of time lol silly man!

Try your local battery hen farm, they should sell nearly end of lay which they class as 1 year old for around £1 each - all be it most of them in UK will be winding up due to the cage ban unless the have modified cages. HTH?
