Got a letter t'other day from't council.   They have a chance of aquiring some fruit trees and were going to plant them on a big of rough ground next to my allotment, (I'm on the end).  The rough ground used to be an 1/2 allotment but the holder got hacked off with kids so applied for another further away.

They wanted my advice as I'd be nearest,  I said "Go for it, but save some money for substantial railings round each tree".     Seems to be a rite of passage that as soon as trees get planted some moron comes and snaps them.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed.      Cheers,     Tony.

Sounds good. We have really tough railings round the trees on our estate and they have survived quite well. Just the odd twit swinging off a bough

Good luck mate. Pretty damn annoying having to spend cash on railings to keep the morons out. Seems to be the way of the world though.
