I've got 9 plants each of black kale and dwarf curly kale which I've harvested intensively over the summer (delicious!). I understand they will continue producing until next spring but will grow much more slowly (or not at all) during the winter. I've left them 5 weeks to recover and am not sure how much I should cut from them from now on.
Any advice anyone?

Take a few leaves from each plant and watch how quickly they recover
