It seems for months that all my Sweet Peppers have been and still are green. Can I trim back the leaves to help them ripen to red or ripen at home?

all they need is some warmth to turn, but won't ripen off the plant 

I'm not at all sure that trimming them back would make any difference, but it sure won't do any harm as long as the fruit is full-size already

I've got the same problem and I shall move the plants indoors. Worked last year.
When they finished I cut them back and kept them over Winter. The ones that survived gave the best and earliest crops.
Can I do it again?

They might need repotting this time around as the compost will start to turn to dust after a while - lck of organic material
