30 Crocus bulbs for 2.95 isn't bad. Are these purple crocuses much different from any other purple crocus? I ask, as they might have saffron in their name, but you'd need a field full to harvest any amount of saffron worth having.  Postage is a bit scary, but perhaps it doesn't increase if you order lots more....

I bought some of these a few weeks ago and they are the particular ones you harvest saffron from. Considering you only need about 8-12 strands to do a good saffon rice I'm happy with the terracotta pot full I've got and can't wait for them to come up

I remember seeing more info on these on James Wongs website, the grow your own drugs fella, and he made a rather nice looking saffron martini
