Hi

Can anyone advise me what I can do about mealy aphids in my sprout tops?  I assume i need to get rid of them, but how?  I have been squashing any that I have seen on the leaves but these are difficult to get at    I would prefer not to use chemicals if at all possible but I don't want to lose my crop either!

Hi VegPlotter, forgive me but what is a mealy aphid?  Is it some sort of catterpillar?

They are waxy greyish greenfly (that's how my 'expert' book describes them).  I've found this link and the picture shows them (and my problem with them) perfectly...

The article with the picture suggests using an insecticidal soap, any idea what that is or how I make some?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
