I have been told that chucks are lactose intolerent however then i read to give yogurt to ones girls as a pick-up

My question is which is correct

they are intollerant to it in any large quantity, the occasional small amount of plain natural live youghurt should do no harm but I prefer to use Aviproplus which is a pro and pre biotic especially for birds without lactose and then I only give it to my birds after they have had anti biotics so that the good gut bacteria can be replenished

Intollerant is not quite the right term.

They cannot digest it so it will make them a bit squitty.  It will do them no harm and the calcium and phosporous in yogurt is in the correct proportions for easy uptake so that will do them good if they need a quick calcium boost.
