Crusty yellow comb
« on: July 19, 2011, 10:23 »
I have just come back from holiday and one of my wee pekin bantams has a yellow crusty comb.  I notice also that there is puss also.  She is eating well and appears happy enough and none of the others are affected.  Does anyone know what this is.  It is awful looking.

I would take her to the vet.  If there is an infection (pus) then you will almost certainly need antibiotics.

I agree - this could have been from being pecked, lice, mites, scratches etc and will need antibiotics and maybe a topical antibacterial cream.
Staffies are softer than you think.
