Used to love these spud's. Anyone know where i can get Cyprus seed potatoes?

I think it is more to do with where they are grown, i.e. Cyprus and its red soil.  I think the main variety is called Spunta, it comes up on a few sites to do with the Cypriot potato industry.   Whether Spunta potatoes grown here would taste the same I don't know.

Seeds of Italy (Francchi) usually sell them earlier in the year.

Spunta seed potatoes were introduced here last year. Some of the locals grew them. I was given a bag of small ones as a gift in December. They tasted pretty good and even though they seemed a bit wrinkly on the outside, the texture when cooked was good too. No idea whether they'd do as well where you are, fatcat, but it would seem that they can be grown successfully outside Cyprus.
