She's a minder reader! :D

Is your plot fenced off in any way? You must have rabbits around to be concerned over them. Could it be mice, pigeons, pheasants or even deer?

Rabbits have done that to mine in the past, although it was over winter.

As it was at winter the leeks were fully grown and the rabbits only ate the really green tops that I normaly throw away so it was no bother!

The rabbits on my plot (and the deer) will eat young leek tops, onion tops, beans, peas germinating beetroot and carrots, and brassicas of all descriptions. The things they leave untouched are potatoes tops and garlic.

One year I grew a lovely crop of pickling onions......................they were put in as sets and stayed the same size as everytime they threw up a shoot it got eaten. Lesson learned.

Everything on my plot is covered to protect from rabbits, deer, pigeons, and cabbage white flutterbys  :D. It makes it a real chore to weed and harvest, although the weed burden appears to be lower due to the netting stopping some weed seeds flying in form outside.
I was put on this earth to accomplish a certain number of things; right now I am so far behind I will never die.
