Saffron crocus bulbs

I am thinking of buying some saffron crocus bulbs - any idea how much saffron 60 bulbs will produce?

the red dangly bits are threads of saffron and you get 3 per flower and only 1 flower per bulb. Harvest at dawn and then dry in the dark.............

Thanks - I ordered 60 bulbs/corms from Dobies today. WhichiIf successful could yield about 0.5 grams enough for 5 meals.

You actually only need a little to cook with, and it colours rice nicly with added flavour.

Just read this with interest. Wife always moans when I put saffron in the trolley but likes it in her dinner.

I have just ordered 20 bulbs off ebay.
