Hi folks,
Not been in here much lately to view the net (still no house phone so have to use the library) but got a few min tonight while hubby and son hunt down a pub to watch the footie.  
Discovered we had a watermelon with an actual watermelon on it, out of 6 plants I only got 1 fruit!!  Will be picking it at the weekend before son goes back home.
The peppers are doing really well, all the neighbours have had a dreadful crip, we have had a massive crop and still got loads to pick.  The aubergines are doing great too.  We are coming to an end of the home grown potatoes now, they are growing shoots and getting soft, but considering the garage where they are stored was well over 45 deg in August they have done well.  We will plant the sprouters this weekend. The olive tree is ready to pick the fruit now, so pickling is on the cards again soon.  The persimmion is ripening- but not sure if the tree will get to last another year- it is not my favourite fruit, if it is picked too early it is really nasty and if it is a day too late the birds get the fruit of it splits (my friend described it as the texture of sn*t )

Ace ! send me some aubergines cant get one to full fruit this year

None of my aubergines took this year, which was a bit disappointing after the hundreds I had last year!!!!

Glad some things are growing well for you Pamela!!!
