Over the past week or so the leaves on my garlic plants have gone rusty looking, is this normal?

I pulled one of the bulbs and they look good but im not sure if i should lift them all up or still leave them in the ground?

Leave them. Rust on leaves does not affect the storage properties.

If you do a forum search on "Garlic Rust", you'll find a few previous threads.

Rust will not harm their keeping qualiteis, think about harvesting them when around a third or so of their leaves have died and gone brown.

Pleased to see this thread I was about to ask the same question. Can this also spread to freesias? My pots of freesias seem to have a similar problem.

No, it's allium specific. Your freesias have a different problem - but I have no idea what it is!
