Hi,
I have planted asparagis in my allotment, can anyone tell me please if i should cut back the ferns now or in august time?  I have had lots of conflicting advice, thanks in advance!!

Neither.

You wait until they go yellow. That'll be October onwards probably, but the the crucial thing is the state of the foliage.

Neither; wait until they go brown and die off, usually about Oct/Nov. (They need to be kept going as long as possible to grow/replenish the crowns for the following year's crop.)
