i have some light sussex eggs in the incubator, and was wondering about how i tell the sex of them, a friend said males are more silver and females more golden is this true ? or just a myth ? many thanks

sorry but I don't think you can sex them until they start to grow

Both sexes look silver to me.  If its got gold in it, it isn't a Light Sussex.

Like Joy said, you will have to wait until they grow a bit before seeing any difference in them.

You can get a hybrid where the chicks are gold or silvery I think, but yes, if they are pure you will have to wait until they are older, or vent sex them at day old

Light Sussex are notoriously difficult to sex and vent sexing is for experts. I was able to tell with mine at about 7 weeks.
