Burgess Buttercup - is it a bush?

i grew it from real seeds (http://www.realseeds.co.uk/wintersquash.html) a couple of years ago (called burgess vine buttercup, so i dunno if it's exactly the same or not) but the ones we grew were definitely vines, albeit not as mammoth as the Anna schwartz we grew at the same time. I seem to recall growing it up the back side of a munty bean frame.

We also grew one from Real Seeds last year.  It was supposed to be a compact vine, but I'd hate to see a full size one.  It was like a triffid, and romped right across the garden until I stopped it.  Got 3 good sized and 1 mini squash from it.
