where to plants toms

i'm looking ahead for where i could pklant out my toms, would where i have just had either onions or potatoes be suitable or find somewhere  else (short on space at moment)

Would think ex-onions would be better than ex-potatoes as toms and potatoes are cousins so your toms might be more prone to succumb to any potato-borne diseases hanging around from you previous crop.

i would personally plant them in big pots away from the soil. give it feed when the flowers appear and water regularly.

Nothing wrong with straight into the soil. I do a lot in mine and they take far less looking after.

The ones I do straight into the soil certainly seem to be a whole bunch more forgiving of a bit of occasional neglect especially regards watering!
