 Hi all, newbie here!!
I have a little query and thought all you brilliant people might well know the answer! I already have 6 gorgeous hens who were already vaccinated against pretty much everything and am now getting 4 new birds from someone who doesnt vaccinate. What should I do????!!! I maybe am not too worried about loads of vaccinations but wonder if I should get them salmonella vacc just in case! OOOh what a quandry, any ideas out there. Thank you xx

Personally, none of my ducks are vaccinated against anything. I'm not opposed or anything but it is not really something that people tend to do on a small scale as the vaccinations tend to be sold in1000 bird batches!

Generally on the small scale good husbandry seems to be perfectly adequate.

Ducks are notorious (probably unjustifiably so) for carrying salmonella and I have eaten my girls eggs raw with no ill effects and nor has anyone else.
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.
