Hiya all. Subject says it all really.

Im wondering how long i should keep the netting on my brassica's for? they all getting along nicely and starting grow at a nice rate and was wondering when protection isnt necessary?

In my case - all the time. If the butterflies don't get them, the pigeons will.

Just take it off for a weed now and again. It means you don't get those dusty white aphids as well.

Well I keep mine on all the time too! It not worth taking it off! Have you ever seen what a pigeon can do to brassicas

Snow is a problem with my (small mesh) debris netting.

Maybe I should get some wide-mesh for the winter that will keep the birds off, but not collapse under the snow?
