My new 6 week old chickens are being kept separate from my other chickens for a couple of weeks. Due to this they can't get into the coop from their run I put them to bed every night. I have just realised I am out tomorrow at 5.30, I can't leave them outside until I get home. I don't like to put food and water in the coop but does anyone think I should as they are going in there that early. In a week or two it won't be an issue when they are all mixed together

If they've had lots to eat and drink first, they should be fine as a once off I would have thought. Is there room in your chicken house for a water container? Mine doesn't as it's an Eglu, but it's the water I'd be most concerned about at that age.

Thanks for that. Yes there is plenty of room for water, I think I will do that.
