hey guys,

dreaded onion fly is back! my unc next to me has had it come, and had to take one of his beds up today, does this seem early to anybody? i am next to him and mine seem to be going strong so far,

however when my onion sets came i put them into ghouse in paper pots and grew on for a month until pretty strong! he never, would and should this change anything?


any help needed and welcome please

I don't know much about onion fly, but I've a feeling that we might have had other posts about it this year.

I don't know whether starting them off in the greenhouse would make any difference other than perhaps it's harder for the fly to get into there.  If the plants have gone outdoors before the fly arrives, I'd have thought they were equally vulnerable - but I am not certain.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
