Personally I wouldn't as if there is any residue of the chemicals in the eggs, you are sending it through their system again which, in theory, could lead to levels being too high. I don't know the impact this has on the chickens, but as dosage has to be calculated by weight, it must be important.

But I am not a vet, an that is only my opinion.

Hi
I'm no expert but I do use frontline, as there is no egg withdrawal (as far as I know) I don't see any problem feeding the eggs back to your chickens.

Hi Pauline, there is egg withdrawal for at least seven days. This is because Frontline is not licensed for poultry.

Best wishes

Christine

P.s. What strength do you use and in what dosage? My vet gave me Ivermex for budgies nag my 3kg bird needed the whole pipette in one go

Why are you planning on feeding them the eggs??? I have a friend who did just that and he had to cull all his hens as they then started to eat their own eggs.

If you dont want to waste them then find some one with dogs and feed them the eggs.

pauline the vet advised me to withdraw the eggs as the product hasn't been tested on poultry yet so nobody knows if it goes into the eggs or not so it is for safety  reasons you withdraw the eggs.
opiumeater i got it in spray form and it's one sqiurt under each wing ( on the body not on the actual wing ) + good point about the residue
racheir as long as you hard boil the eggs and mash them up ( shell as well ) so they look nothing like their eggs it is ok to feed eggs back to the hens you can also add things to the eggs like chicken spice and cod liver oil
i have a dog but i'm not feeding her eggs there is enough smells come from her back end as there is without feeding her eggs lol

Hi

Whoops!!  That would explain the extra eye now growing on my forehead then

But seriously there is conflicting advice on here (but it is clearly only ADVICE), but as I have now read on the sticky, the vet said 'although frontline does not enter the blood stream, as it is not licenced for poultry to be on the safe side don't eat the eggs for 5 - 7 days'.

Thanks Dennis, after the money I've spent today, what the hell, in for a penny, in for a pound.

Seeing the vet tomorrow, so I'll get my money's worth and get a script of him.

I get frontline spray from my vets for my chickens (I have to sign for it as it isn't licenced) and there is no withdrawal period. However if you feel better waiting 7 days then do so (but I know in the case of some antibiotics not licenced for poultry they can have a withdrawal period of 28 days or even longer).
Staffies are softer than you think.

thanks joyfull for that info do you know for certain there is no withdrawal period as the vet said there is but other people have said there isn't.
i can not see any reasons for a withdrawal as it's not taken into the blood stream but this is the first time i have used it
