I'd like to buy some, say's to plant in March - can I still plant now? (End of May) what are the consequences?

The ones I have in the ground are already a foot tall. The ones I had in a box to give away hadn't sprouted much, but I binned them the other day :(

If someone you know has some that have come up a bit thick you could probably just dig a forkful up and separate and plant them. If nothing else they will bulk up enough to give you a decent amount of material for next year's crop.

One of mine is a foot tall the other is just poking through. Can they be harvested in year one or is it best to wait till next year?
All the way from my allotment in beautiful Derbyshire. I'm in year 3 of my allotment and wish I'd caught the bug years ago, things growing from strength to strength

Definitely can be harvested at the end of Year 1. Replant some of the tubers for year two, and eat the rest :)

If you have very few tubers (which I doubt) you may want to replant them all for year 2

Thanks. Instead of replanting can some be left in situ?

Yes, but they are likely to be cramped, and thus they will form close to each other next year.

Better to lift them, and immediately replant them at the desired spacing.

Whatever you do there will be some "bits" you missed, that will grow next year :)

Hi there, I'm wanting some - drawn to the Fuseau type as apparently smoother so no chunks of soil in my dinner :)

I'm in Oxford

pity, you're a bit too far away to give some to, they are growing well but I think would still move if kept watered well
