Hello all,

I open my green house door when i go to work
BUT
when i get back there is sometimes an army of flies gatherered in there having a party !!

Is this common - is there something wrong - Is there something i need to check for.

Note:- When the door is kept shut this doesn't seem to occur !

Quite normal , they may even help with pollination !

It is the still conditions they like.  They use less energy flying around inside than outdoors, plus a greenhouse gets nice and warm even with the door open.

Start to worry when you get a cloud of the bigger flesh flies.  Something may have died under something.

They wont do any harm though, and like 8doubles says, it helps out with pollination.
