[Caretaker]

At the bottom of the allotment I have a large gooseberry bush, I would like to have a go at taking cutting but have not a clue on how to.
Is it the right time of year?
What part do I cut off?
Do I just put the cuttings in a pot?
I do have a greenhouse if that helps.

Yoo might like to try pinning some low growth down, I got many to throw out roots in this way.... (Need to keep soil moist.)

I think Gooseberries are very easy to take as cuttings - I have several bushes now all from cuttings which I have taken in very early spring (only from new wood though) - all I do is stick the cuttings in a jar of water and within no time have roots sprouting from them - they do often grow at an odd angle though initially but with a little pruning once they are growing well they soon 'bush up'
