Anyone tried growing either of these? I'm doing them this year for the first time and wondering how long it'll be before I have usable radish. Supplier I bought from says they're 30 days from germination to usable root, but mine have already been that long and as far as I can tell from a furtle they haven't started thickening up at all.

Anyone know if this is normal for these varieties or are they lacking something? They get regular watering and BFB once a month.

Mr Fothergill's says 4 - 6 weeks for Radish Candela Di Fuoco ...so a bit more waiting for you

I think white icicle was about a month for me

Didnt rate the to be honest and gave away the rest of a pack last year to a friend

I wanted to try something different because I never seem to get on well with the normal round radishes. What always happens is they reach perfect size then one day later they're all woody and horrible, so we always seem to end up chucking more than we eat. I wanted to try some of the long winter radishes as well (are they mooli?) but I've never eaten those either so I've no idea what they taste like.
