I'm enjoying a day from the allotment and enjoying the rain. Only problem is its my daughters prom and I'm not understanding all this hair and nail stuff going on

Today would be a good day for planting I reckon as the soil will be so much softer.  I don't think we've had enough rain to cause a mudbath yet so I wouldn't rule out a trip to the plot. Anyway you can always tidy the shed
