As the family are not too fussed about these wonderous beans ... thought I would go for baby beans next year and ......

there is nothing quite like Broad Beans and Bacon in a thicky creamy Parsley Sauces ...  mmmmmm

:?  Might be that there are none?  A broad bean is pretty big / fat and any pod which is gotta hold 6 or more of 'em is going to be pretty big / fat too!

Just pick a normal variety very young.  Several posts on this subject earlier this year.
