Despite all the time & effort spent with her over the last few days it seems it was not meant to be - but at least she knew the sun on her back & the grass under her feet for a short time.....

Oh, Cats I'm so sorry to hear your terrible news Poor little mite. At least she went to a loving, caring mummy and you did all you could for her. As you say, she had a least a few days of sunshine and freedom.

It's quite common on here for people to post that they have lost ex-bats very soon after getting them.  I think the truth is that they are pushed to their limits and are literally knackered by the time they get out of those cages.  Your other girls will feather up and have the time of their lives living like normal chickens with you.  You gave Erica a chance and that's more than she would have had otherwise
