Garlic care?
« on: April 15, 2011, 10:38 »
We planted our garlic earlier in the year in our polytunnel.  It's coming along but just looks a bit weedy and delicate.  A couple have thicker shoots and are taller but they look a bit like grass tbh.

Any advice? or is it too early to panic yet  ::)

They could just be short of water. It may be shortage of nitrogen. Perhaps a combination of both. I would make sure they have enough water and give them a liquid feed.

Garlic i have grown tends to be quite hardy, just leave it to get on with itself.

Mine have been in the ground since november and i have not touched them yet, we will have the water turned on this weekend so i will give them a drink then.

I am sure they will perk up and soon start to fill out
