Fearing the worst
« on: April 11, 2011, 13:57 »
:( my pussy cat samson has been missing for a week now  :( I wasn't overly worried until friday as last year when it turned warm he took himself off for an adventure for four days, came back starving hungry, tatty eared and very clingy. But this is the longest he has gone missing for. We thought he might may a reappearance over the weekend if he had been trapped in a neigbours shed or garage but no such luck.  :(

His sister Delilah is sulking around and my little boy keeps asking where his cat has gone. I hate not knowing! :(
Kate
Always thankful for advice!

so sorry to hear that. Hope he turns up safe soon.

Any conifer trees around ? Have a look at them, cat's climb them easy, but can't get down again.

I'm so sorry - it's horrid not knowing.  Been there with cats myself.  However, don't give up hope - sometimes they get shut in somewhere or whatever, but they very often do turn up again.

I really hope he comes back again. I work at an animal sanctuary and we have had cats wander off never to see them again. I prefer knowing even if it is bad news.
Have you put up notices around the area with a good picture and description of him?  I rehomed a cat a few days ago by noticing a poster in the nearby town. If he is not microchipped, you should try ringing local vets, animal sanctuaries, Cats Protection etc, just in case some well meaning  person took him in.

:( Still no sign of him, I've put up loads of notices, and rang around the local shelters, and a few further afield. My 3yr old son asked me when his kitty was coming home last night as he was going to bed and i didn't really know what to say, i told him he had gone on holiday for a while.
:( just wish i knew one way or the other.

my son lost a cat, it went thro a cat flap into a house some streets away - they were away on holiday and it could not get back out again. They did not even have  cat of their own, cat flap was from previous owners. Eventually they arrived home, had seen missing cat posters so rang him straight away so cat safe but it was suggested that he should pay cleaning costs.
He did willingly.
Knock on doors, keep asking.
