I had two or three blood smothered eggs on thursday when i got back from the hospital bit as one of my girls is an egg basher i thought she had just made a real mess of the others.

However, i had another blood spattered egg yesterday. Today I have found a hen with a dirty bum so I washed her up. She has a very red and sore area outside of her vent and smelt very uriny. The inner lip looks like it has broken skin with almost like grazes a yellowish like scab on it.

As usual I have rung the vets but no one can see me til monday unless i wanna pay £100 for an out of hours consult.

I am wondering if there is any topical medication any one can recommend til monday.
